Story Engine, a startup focused on AI-driven storytelling, has announced the closure of a US$3.4Mn seed funding round. This investment was co-led by GSR Ventures, The Venture Reality Fund, and KungHo Fund, with additional participation from A16Z Games Speedrun, Taihill Venture, and Goodwater.
Founded four months ago by a team from Stanford, Story Engine has quickly advanced in the digital storytelling sector. The company has graduated from the A16Z Games Speedrun, launched an AI comic creation platform that enables the creation of user-generated stories, and is currently developing new projects in the anime sector.
This funding will support Story Engine's ongoing efforts to integrate AI technology with Eastern anime and comic-inspired aesthetics, specifically targeting the Gen Z audience. Support from investors such as Tipatat Chennavasin from The VR Fund, Mandy Wen from GSR Ventures, and George Gong from KungHo Fund, along with industry experts like Andrew Lee and Andrew Chen from A16Z Games Speedrun, provides Story Engine with resources to further develop its technology.
With this investment, Story Engine aims to enhance its capabilities in creating engaging and interactive storytelling experiences, leveraging AI to offer content solutions.
